Peer Educator’s Leadership Programme
A session by Peer Educator’s was held on 10th July 2024, at Delhi Public School, Jaipur, for the students of grades 7th and 8th. The primary objective was to help students comprehend the concepts of stress and anxiety while providing strategies to manage and overcome these challenges. Additionally, the session aimed to highlight the significance of counselling in addressing mental health concerns particularly when dealing with bullying by peers.
Led by Peer Educators of Grade 12, the session commenced with a captivating enactment by peer educators, portraying scenarios of being bullied and stress experienced by students, thus emphasizing the importance of seeking counselling support. This was followed by a comprehensive presentation elucidating the meanings, causes, and repercussions of stress and anxiety. Interactive discussions facilitated by the enthusiastic participation allowed students to articulate their emotions and promote inclusivity within the group.
The session reached its pinnacle with a series of activities orchestrated by the peer educators, wherein students actively participated with zeal. Activities such as Scribbling, the 5-4-3-2-1 method, and the 5-5-5 method not only entertained but also served as potent tools in equipping students with coping mechanisms for moments of stress or anxiety.
Dean Student Counselling, Ms. Shalini Chaturvedi thanked the school Principal, Dr Richa Prakash for always being a catalyst of such enlightening sessions.
The senior HM of the school, Dr Navita Chandak congratulated the Peer leaders of Class XII for demonstrating exemplary leadership skills, fostering a culture of mental and behavioural wellness among their peers.
