The Energy Literacy Week was conducted successfully by the Eco Club of Delhi Public School Jaipur from April 22 to April 26, 2024. A plethora of engaging activities was organised as a part of the campaign aiming at raising awareness about environmental issues and promoting sustainable practices among students.
Through a combination of educational sessions, hands-on workshops, and immersive experiences, participants were empowered to be sensitized towards the environment and become advocates for sustainability.
Day 1 - The event commenced with screening videos on topics ranging from robotics to environmental conservation followed by lively discussions, reflecting the intersection of technology and the environmental spark.
Day 2 was dedicated to creating planters, pen holders and other objects of utility using waste plastic & glass bottles. This hands-on activity underscored the importance of repurposing waste materials to benefit the environment.
Day 3 - The Eco Club members orchestrated a captivating flash mob through music and dance, effectively conveying the key messages about protecting our planet and fostering a sustainable future.
On the last day, the students embarked on an educational visit to a Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) and composting site. This firsthand experience allowed them to witness the process of decomposition and gain valuable insights into waste management practices.
The students were reiterated throughout the week that Earth is our only planet, and each little drop of contribution will add to making it a better place.
