‘Dancing is creating a sculpture that is visible only for a moment.’
Dance is an art form that helps in expressing the emotions of life and relaxes the mind, body and soul. International Dance Day is celebrated every year on April 29 throughout the world.To pay tribute to this distinctive form of performing arts, an assembly was orchestrated by Grade VII A at Delhi Public School, Jaipur on April 30, 2024. The assembly was meticulously planned and executed, showcasing a diverse range of dance performances.
The assembly commenced with the soulful prayer, followed by news, speech to enlighten the students about the significance of the day, and a beautiful poem was recited. To add energy and vibrancy to the programme, a scintillating dance performance portraying the magnitude of the day was presented by the group of students.
A special mime act was also presented by the student members of the Tehelka Club, shedding light on the lives of specially abled children.
The school Principal, Dr. Richa Prakash Ghosh lauded the students for their hard work and talent.
The event served as a poignant reminder of the universal language of dance, uniting individuals through movement and rhythm.
