To value the importance of books & reading, a captivating assembly was conducted by Grade 6 C of Delhi Public School, Jaipur on April 23, 2024 to celebrate ‘World Book Day and Copyright Day’.
The assembly commenced by seeking the blessings of the almighty followed by a mellifluous poem recitation and an enchanting activity ‘Who am I’ prompting the audience to identify the characters. It was a treat for the eyes to see the students, dressed up as famous characters from various novels, such as Willy Wonka from ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’, Swami from Malgudi Days & Harry Potter from the famous series. The stage came alive with the students' portrayal of these beloved characters and added a touch of magic and excitement to the event, captivating the audience's attention and setting the tone for the celebration.
Following the performances, the history and significance of World Book Day were delved into by the students, emphasizing the joy of reading and the impact of books in our lives.
The Principal, Dr. Richa Prakash, reiterated the value of reading and encouraged the students to continue exploring the world of literature. She commended the efforts of the students for organizing such an insightful and entertaining assembly.
Overall, it was a delightful blend of education & entertainment conveying the message of embracing literature and respecting intellectual property.
