Delhi Public School, Jaipur organized a University Fair on 5 April 2024, for the students of classes XI and XII.
It aimed to sensitize and help the students to make informed decisions on choosing the right degree and right college after the completion of high school.
Representatives from more than 20 prestigious universities of U.S and Hong Kong such as
Drexel University, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Kansas State University
Stony Brook University, University at Buffalo, The State University of New York, The University of Hong Kong. The admission representatives provided information on the courses, specializations, and placements. They demystified that admittance to the Universities does not depend on SAT and ACT scores, but holistic development of the students through extra cocurricular activities will give them an edge in the upcoming college placements. They discussed the courses and packages offered to their pass out students and alumni so as to encourage students towards realizing their childhood ambition of studying abroad.
Representatives from these universities briefed about the academic based scholarships and scholarships that take into account good profile building by the students.
Dr. Richa Prakash Ghosh, Principal, Delhi Public School, Jaipur, motivated and encouraged students to take information about the courses, skill, cost of living and scholarships for future prospects in the competitive job market. Her interaction aimed to reinforce the importance for students to invest time and efforts in building a strong profile to maximize their career prospects in the rapidly changing job market.
The fact that students were gathering first-hand information via university entrance outreach was encouraging. The fair helped students explore their higher education options and gain a deeper understanding of their potential educational paths. It was an enriching experience that left them feeling excited and clearer about their future endeavors.
