On March 28, 2024, Delhi Public School Jaipur set forth the academic session 2024-25 with a Bagless Day filled with fun and frolic for the students of grades VI to VIII. The day was filled with a diverse range of activities focusing on wellness, life skills, sports, leadership, and art, providing an engaging and dynamic start to the new session.
The day began with an orientation by Mr Rohit Agarwal, founder and CEO Contree Club, in collaboration with Viewfinder’s Club emphasizing the school’s motto ‘Service before Self’ promoting community service focusing on wellness and life skills which engaged the children effectively.
Following that, the students participated in different sports activities. Classes VI and VII were engaged in a lively game of Dodgeball, while Class VIII students enthusiastically played Throw-ball.
Next on the agenda was a vibrant Zumba session, thoroughly enjoyed by all the children. This activity not only provided them with a fun experience but also they learnt the lesson of rhythm and movement.
A session on leadership conducted by tGELF (The Global Education & Leadership Foundation) was the highlight of the day. It was engaging and informative, as children gained valuable insights into leadership skills.
The day concluded with an art activity where students showcased their creativity with Class VI depicting underwater life, Class VII focusing on drawing feathers, and Class VIII creating vases. These artistic creations will be utilized by the art department to develop wall drawings, symbolizing a collaborative effort between teachers and students in the realm of art.
