An orientation programme was organised by Delhi Public School, Jaipur on March 16, 2024, that aimed at familiarizing Class VI students and new parents of Classes VI to VIII with the academic and co-curricular aspects of the curriculum. The event was designed to facilitate active participation, enabling parents to gain insights into the school environment and faculty members their children will be interacting with.
Dr. Richa Prakash Ghosh, the Principal, extended a warm welcome to the parents, emphasizing the school’s commitment to nurturing the growth and development of every child. She urged the parents to have faith in the institute and the team.
The Headmistress, Dr. Navita Chandak, introduced key team members, including Class Representatives and Class Teachers for the upcoming academic session.
Ms. Nipuna Jain, the Class Representative of Grade VII provided a comprehensive overview of school regulations and assessment procedures to ensure parents were well-informed.
Recognizing the significance of understanding children’s development and promoting their independence, a session was conducted by the school counselors Ms. Shalini Chaturvedi and Ms. Deepti Gupta. Mr. Nitin Pahuja from Da One, highlighted the offerings of the Devyani Jaipuria Sports Academy, focusing on the importance of sports. The parents were also briefed about various clubs, cultural events & activities by Mr. Jimmy Thomas and thereafter, tips to use the school portal by Ms. Priya Soral.
The orientation programme introduced the innovative and interactive “Poornata” program, a specialized philosophy focusing on imparting values to children in a fun and effective way. The Poornata curriculum consists of 9 core values, including kindness, respect, gratitude etc. This unique combination of mindfulness, storytelling, activities, and expression aims to instill these values in students and enhance their overall development.
