The Jaipur History Festival 2023: 'Education through Monuments

To celebrate the rich cultural heritage of our country, 'TheJaipur History Festival -2023’was held from 5 to 8 December at City Palace of Jaipur.
The theme of the festival 'Education through Monuments,' successfully created a platform for the schools of various regions that came together to celebrate the historical legacy of India.
Delhi Public School, Jaipur enthusiastically participated and contributed to the festival.
The mystical ‘Jantar - Mantar’ was selected as the monument to study. The students embarked on a multidisciplinary journey beyond history and found a beautiful tapestry of all subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Geography etc woven in these monuments.The students also presented a millet song, prayer song, dance and skit highlighting the significance of the monuments.
A Millet Map was also made by the students of DPS, Jaipur that displayed the production of various millets in the country.
The engaging cultural programmes,enlightening workshops to provide a hands on experience and insightful lectures and exhibitions made the festival a memorable and enriching experience for all the attendees.
While the theme offered a comprehensive exploration of how historical monuments can serve as living textbooks, the experience revealed the rich educational potential within these architectural marvels while helping these young adults to remain connected with their rich legacy .As the festival concluded, it left a lasting impact, inspiring a commitment to integrating monuments into the educational narrative for a more holistic understanding of history.
