The Launch of Graphic Novels on the occasion of UN World Day of Remembrance for ‘Road Traffic Victims was held at Jawahar Kala Kendra on 21st November 2023 as an initiative to raise awareness about the importance of road safety.
The event aimed to educate people about following traffic rules, wearing seatbelts, using helmets, and avoiding distractions while driving. The programme included informative sessions, Samvaad: Engaging in Dialogues with accident Victims and officials, a road safety quiz for participants hosted by Actor Narendra Gupta of CID TV Series, Launch of the Graphic Novels, Choir singing and a brilliant play to engage the participants.
School Principal, Dr Richa Prakash Ghosh, Minni Verma, Art faculty and Archit Kulshrestha of class X had the opportunity to share the stage in the unveiling of graphic novels with the chief guest Ms. Gayatri Rathore, Principal Secretary of Art, Culture, Tourism and Archaeology, Govt. of Rajasthan, and Special guest Padmashri Avani Lekhara, Paralympian Rifle Shooter.
This launch was an outcome of the efforts of Mr. Sandeep Sethi and an endeavour by Muskaan Foundation to bring forward this concern and awareness for the Road Safety through the a Graphic Novel.
Also the Creative Writing Team headed by Ms. Pooja Nair TGT English along with Hrisha Pareek, Kaustubh Nair Class IX and Anay Sharma Class VIII and Art and graphics team headed by Ms. Minni Verma along with Archit Kulshrestha, Abhyudaya Raj Singh, Aarav Arora, Yashwardhan Meena, Vaishnavi Lal and Pranavi Chaturvedi of Class X contributed tremendously in achieving this vision .
The event successfully emphasized upon the significance of responsible behaviour on the roads and encouraged everyone to prioritize their safety and the safety of others. Overall, it was a valuable program that contributed to creating a safer road environment.
