Students of Classes III -VIII spread awareness about Happy and Safe Diwali celebration
Our 21st century learners of Classes III-VIII discussed ways to combat pollution and celebrate the festival of lights - Diwali with fervour while taking care of the environment at the same time.
A Poster Making and Creative Writing Activity was organized for Grades III to VIII to raise awareness and inspire change.
The students were encouraged to focus on three core themes-
Happy Diwali- to promote joy and togetherness during the festival; Safe Diwali- for creating awareness about firecracker safety and preventing accidents; and an Eco-Friendly Diwali- to encourage the use of sustainable and eco-conscious practices.
Through their creative posters, self-composed poems and a Street Play, the students highlighted the need to reduce air and noise pollution by choosing eco-friendly green crackers or even avoiding them altogether. They suggested using earthen diyas, oil lamps, rangoli making and other traditional methods of celebration to promote sustainable living practices for a better and brighter tomorrow.
