Amongst the many sessions that were conducted during the day, the session on 'Effective Pedagogical Approaches for Leaders' was taken by Ms. Roopa Lobo, an Early Years Educator and Teachers' Trainer from Mumbai. Ms. Lobo threw light on various aspects of early childhood education and approaches to learning in the formative years. By citing several examples from her teaching experiences and through interaction with the attendees, she discussed pedagogies like play-based, inquiry-based, and Montessori methods, their characteristics, and their benefits.
In another session, the Cambridge team explained the features of the curriculum and addressed the queries of the participants. The event helped the participants understand the changing landscape of education in the foundational years, with new approaches and policies being framed and applied for learners in the age group 3–8 and the best practices that should be practiced to ensure their holistic development.
