Grandparents' Day is a cherished occasion that celebrates the significant role that grandparents play in the lives of their grandchildren.
To honour and appreciate the grandparents of our little ones, a heartwarming celebration was organised at Delhi Public School, Jaipur on September 21, 2023, where beloved grandparents were invited to the school for a fun-filled day organised specially for them.
The Junior Council members greeted the grandparents and parents at the school reception and escorted them to the venue - the Multi-Purpose Hall.
The event began with a warm welcome to all the grandparents through a euphonious welcome song by the students of Class I.
The program was an exhilarating dance drama that portrayed the beautiful bond shared between grandparents and grandchildren. The theme 'Jungle Safari' added an exciting element to the celebration and conveyed the message of protecting the jungles and the wildlife.
The dances performed by the tiny tots were adorable to the core. Each class presented a unique performance showcasing different aspects of the wildlife. The cute little lions, tigers, zebras, elephants, and birds wowed the audience with their theatrical skills and well-coordinated moves.
The enactment based on the Panchatantra stories emphasized the values and wisdom we learn from these stories passed down to us through generations.
Children of Class II expressed the gratitude towards grandparents for their love and guidance with a 'Thank-You' song.
The show concluded with a heart-touching address by the Principal Dr Richa Prakash Ghosh. She reiterated the importance of grandparents in instilling values, traditions and life lessons in children that help shape the society. She reinforced the importance of family bonding.
The Grandparents' Day celebration was a resounding success. It was a day filled with love, laughter, and heartfelt moments that will be cherished by our students, their grandparents, and parents for a long time.
