Children’s Day Celebration 2023
“The most precious thing in this world is a smile on a child's face.”
With this aim, Children's Day was celebrated on 9.11.2023 at Delhi Public School, Jaipur.
The day began with the infectious energy and smiles of the students and was a riot of colours and talents. The air buzzed with excitement as the school echoed with laughter and joy.
Each department of the school also brought its flavour to the festivity. The Music department had everyone tapping their feet with lively songs while the dance troupe impressed the crowd with their graceful moves. The Hindi and the III Language Department presented beautiful and meaningful couplets from Hindi literature. The Social Science Department presented a skit that was not only a masterpiece of creativity but also had the audience in splits. The Computer Department presented a song; the Department of English presented ‘Poetry in Motion’ based on Shakespeare’s 'The Seven Ages' which was followed by the Math Department which presented a medley of beautiful evergreen songs. All the performances were a smorgasbord of talent and were a small endeavour to tell the students how much loved they were.
The epic ‘Tug of War' showdown was a battle of strength, and determination and was a whole lot of fun. The cheers from the students were deafening as both teams displayed pure sportsmanship.
The school principal, Dr Richa Prakash Ghosh, congratulated the
Team Students on their victory in the 'Tug of War' and reiterated the fact that the victory of every child is a victory of a mentor in the school. She emphasised the importance of nurturing creativity and curiosity in every child. It was a moment of inspiration that lingered in the hearts of both students and teachers, alike.
All in all, the Children's Day celebration was a perfect blend of entertainment, talent and heartfelt messages as the school transformed into a lively carnival of joy, leaving everyone with memories to cherish and with a message that every child should grow with love and care.
