Athletic Meet for Grades VI - XII
“Victory is having done your best, if you have done your best, you have won.”
An Athletic Meet for classes VI - XII was held at Delhi Public School, Jaipur from April 27 to May 11, 2023. The event saw an enthusiastic participation from around 300 students in various track and field events. There were 100, 200, 400 and 800 meters sprint races, 4 x 100 meters relay races, shot put, and long jump competitions.
The races were photo finish with the winner crossing the finish line just ahead of the other participants. The crowd cheered for the participants, which added more energy and excitement to the event.
It was enthralling to watch the events and cheer up the participants with roars of claps.
Principal, Dr. Richa Prakash Ghosh encouraged the participants to display sportsmanship and advised the other students to pursue sports alongside their academics. She also added that having a healthy and balanced diet is very important to build one’s stamina, strength and tenacity.
The event was drawn to a close with the presentation of medals to the participants achieving the First, Second, and Third positions in each category.
After a neck-to-neck competition, Karan Godara snd Ritvik Jain were declared the ‘Best Athlete’ in the Senior and Junior Boys category respectively. In the girls’ category, Tejaswani Jangid and Khwaish Bajpai shared the ‘Best Athlete’ award. Overall, Jhelum house emerged the winner of the Athletic Meet.
The event was a great success with participants showcasing their skills, sportsmanship spirit, and enthusiasm towards sports.
