A Session for the Educators on 'Reinventing and Upskilling'.
An insightful session was conducted for the Primary Educators of DPS, Jaipur by Ms Rima Singh, Head of School at DPS International, Gurgaon on Wednesday, 29 September, 2021.
Ms Rima Singh, an administrator with a vast and diverse experience and expertise in IB curriculum shared the best practices, for the teachers to learn and apply those in their classes.
Ms Singh expressed that the 'Primary Years Program' of the IB curriculum with its progressive approach is designed to develop the skills in the 21st century learners which will enable them to take on the challenges of the fast-paced world.
She urged the present day educators to upskill themselves to keep up with the dynamic curriculum of schools whose roadmap has already been laid out by the NEP-2020.
She shared good practices followed in DPS International, Gurgaon viz. Technology Tuesday, Sharing Saturday, DPSI Cafe, Inquiry Jar, Jig-Saw, First and Second thoughts, self and peer assessment etc. which have helped the classes transform into experiential zones for students to learn practical life-skills.
The ice-breakers and the kinesthetic activities conducted during the session kept the teachers engaged and interactive throughout the session.
Towards the end, there was a Q&A session in which Rima ma'am addressed the queries of the attendees.
The session was very fruitful and engaging for the teachers of DPS, Jaipur.
