A Virtual Circle Time - Remembering Our Bapu Grades III-V
"If we are to teach real peace in this world…we shall have to begin with the children."
To honour and express our gratitude to Mahatma Gandhi, an apostle of non-violence and preacher of truth, a Virtual Circle Time Activity - Remembering 'Our Bapu' was organized at DPS Jaipur for the students of Grades III-V on October 1, 2020.
Gandhiji was a great leader, a saint, and a great reformer. To introduce children to the life of this great leader and to revere this day, a presentation was shared with the students at the beginning of the session.
“De di hame aajadi bina khadak bina dhal” filled the hearts with love for the Father of the Nation and none could resist joining in.
A short story was shown to the students to learn about the significance of the monkeys in our life. Students were also asked to add the 4th monkey in a reflection worksheet and show what message does that monkey convey.
All the students enthusiastically participated in the quiz based on Gandhiji's life, recited poems, gave speeches, and sung the favourite bhajans of Gandhiji.
