The world celebrated ‘World Rivers Day’ on Sunday, September 27 2020.
Therefore to inculcate the habit of saving water and to instill in little minds the importance of rivers and their precious water, DPS Jaipur organized ‘ Water Wise - Water Saving Week’ for the students of classes Nursery –II from 22 Sep – 25 Sep 2020.
During the week interesting activities were organized on the virtual platform for the students.
On the first day, a ‘Circle Time’ was held in the online classes where topics like the importance and sources of water, water pollution were discussed with the students.
On the second day, the students learned a melodious song on the river and learned the names of rivers.
On the third day, a ‘Show and Tell’ activity was organized for the students in a special evening online session. Students spoke on topics like ‘Uses of water’, ‘Life in rivers’, and ‘Correct ways of using Water’.
On the fourth day an art activity related to the topic ‘Save Water’ was taught to the students.
The activity covered important learning areas like listening, public speaking, music art and craft while bringing awareness among the future generation on the topic of ‘Save Water, Save Rivers’ and was appreciated by the Principal Ma’am and the parents.
