Saluting our Heroes…
Our country is celebrating 75 glorious years of its independence as 'Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav'. It couldn't have been a better opportunity than this to pay tribute to the freedom fighters of Indian National Freedom struggle.
The fifth graders of DPS, Jaipur took part in a role play competition on Saturday, 19 February and brought alive the heroes and their heroism through their performances. Their mesmerizing enactments complemented by excellent use of props, costumes and backdrops made this activity a phenomenal one.
The objective behind the role play was to make the students familiar with the heroes of the freedom struggle and the values and ideals they stood for.
The students did complete justice to the roles they played through their extensive research and presented themselves wonderfully well. The dialogues were crisp, and the delivery was impressive.
Principal Rita P Taneja appreciated the efforts of the students and their mentors for introducing this important chapter of our country's history through this experiential learning activity. She emphasized on the fact that such multidisciplinary learning activities are essential for the holistic development of the students.
