DPS, Jaipur organized an orientation session for grade X students on 28 Dec. 2020, thus facilitating the young minds to take well informed decisions. The students & parents were provided an insight on the various subject combinations, to enable their wards to carefully ponder & make a choice of stream & subjects based on their aptitude, interest & personality. The Principal Ms. Rita Taneja suggested that it was important for students to align their interests & skills with appropriate fields. According to her, the essential capacities like knowledge, skills, habits must be embedded in students to thrive in this increasingly complex & interconnected world. That’s how the students would have doors open to new possibilities. Grade XI Academic Coordinators threw light on the various subject combinations in the fields of Science, Commerce & Humanities thereby empowering the students and parents to make fruitful decisions. A panel of alumni working in a variety of fields shared their personal journeys. The panel included Naveen Pratap Singh(Humanities), Dr. Abhishek Bhargava, Dr. Shubham Tikkiwal(Science) & Tarun Agarwal(Commerce) who are professionals in their own fields now. The session had Ms. Abha Daga, parent of Alumni discussing about the expectations they harboured while their children were in DPS, Jaipur and how the school had supported and guided the students in bringing out the best in them. The Deputy Dean(Students’ Welfare) further highlighted the intricacies of admission to prestigious Indian & foreign Universities, career options available in all the three streams & empowered the students & parents with the much-needed information. The Vice Principal, Mr. Ravi Dutt expressed his gratitude saying that the teachers’ sincere efforts in the formative years of the students have built strong foundation for them to build upon furthermore for a glorious future
