Delhi Public School, Vidyadhar Nagar celebrated the Republic Day with patriotic fervor. The hoisting of the national flag was followed by the national anthem sung loudly and with pride.
There were speeches by the students on the importance of patriotism and the Republic Day. As a part of the cultural programme the children presented beautiful dances dressed up in their colourful costumes. The school choir presented a patriotic song. There was a Karate presentation by the students showcasing various defending and fighting techniques of this martial art. The programme mesmerized the audience and reflected the feeling of patriotism among students.
The Headmistress in her address wished the students a bright future and expressed the importance of being a true Indian.
Inter School 'NUKKAD NATAK' Competition
"Nukkad Natak" as a form of communication is deeply rooted in the Indian tradition and propagates socio-political messages thus creating awareness amongst the masses regarding critical issues. It breaks the formal barriers and approaches the people directly appreciating interaction between audience and participants.
DPS Vidhyadhar Nagar organised an Inter School event on 27th September 2011 with eight eminent Jaipur schools participating. The event entertained as well as educated all present. Such events ensure development of enlightened citizens. The event was adjudged by Ms.Priydarshani, MA Dramatics (Gold Medalist) and Ms.Priti, BA (Dramatics) presently working with ETV- Bhaskar. They ensured that the ' Nataks' were enacted in the right spirit
1st Position was bagged by Step by Step International School. St. Angela Sophia and Maharaja Sawai Mansingh Vidhyalaya won the 2nd and 3rd prize respectively.
Children's Day Celebration
Children's Day is to celebrate 'childhood".
Children's Day was celebrated with gaiety and fervor at Delhi Public School, Vidhyadhar Nagar. Special assembly was held which had a cultural programme comprising informative play, enactment, songs etc. All the items were organized and performed by the teachers. The students enjoyed thoroughly with laughter and giggles and there was a smile on the face of every child.
The students of Pre-Nursery, Nursery and Prep were taken on a visit to the Deer Park. They had a fun-filled day wherein they played, ate and watched the deer at close.
Grandparents are not only parents but are Grand - They are a family's greatest treasure, the founders of a loving legacy, the greatest storytellers, and the keepers of traditions that linger on in cherished memory. Grandparents are the family's strong foundation. Their very special love sets them apart. Through happiness and sorrow, through their special love and caring, grandparents keep a family close at heart.
Echoing the thought DPS, Vidhyadhar Nagar celebrated "Abhinandan Diwas" -Grandparents Day to help instill the highest value of Love and Care in its pupils and to cherish each moment with their grandparents. Mr. M L Sharma Retd. Deputy Income Tax Commissioner & JECRC – Vice Chairman, were invited to be the guest of honor and grace the occasion. The celebrations included "Ganesh Vandana", "Dance" and "Skit" performed by the school children. All present were touched emotionally and made the Grandparents feel very special.
